Have you ever had the feeling of chilling out immediately when the arrow of stress and strain hit you mercilessly?

Have you ever had the feeling of chilling out immediately when the arrow of stress and strain hit you mercilessly? And its not just because you have done so much and you are tired. I am kind of a weirdo when I tell you that the arrow which I told you about strikes me when I don’t know when and where to begin my unfinished works! My closest friend understands this and would say often that I am blue. One day, however, she said something more. “It is a restaurant. And the spelling of Blue is wrong.” “That’s on purpose and it makes it different.” We entered and saw straight onto the wall were the words “True Bleu – A Resto Cafe” etched on a circle with a small description – Kitchen-Chocolate-Wine – the whole thing was lighted from behind and it somehow reminded me of a solar eclipse. “You look blue. Let’s go to True Bleu!” “What’s True Blue?” “Oh, you will see my friend.” After a half hour drive, we reached the seventh sector of HSR layout, one of the promising suburbs of Bangalore city. Once we parked our vehicle and stepped out into the entrance, I could see it was a restaurant.

With around 50 dining covers, the ground floor was an absolute delight to just look at. The walls were decorated with flower vases atop on metal bracket boxes and the floor was filled with white double height lights. Surrounding every table was four wooden stools, colored yellow and white – a lighter combo that goes with the off-white walls of the floor. On the left is the counter which is replete with patterned white tiles in geometrical and Moroccan styles. There were focused hanging lights. The items on display are shelved in wooden boxes and the design of one of the boxes kind of beckoned me to check out the first floor, even though there were vacant seats right next to where we were standing. I nudged my friend and shot upstairs without looking at any of the people who were staring at our weirdness. Before we moved on, I could see a mirror panelled shelf which proudly exhibited irresistible chocolates..

We became oblivious of the fact that we were supposed to eat something because the place was primarily a restaurant. We went ahead, to check out the first floor. We hardly looked at the stairs as our eyes were transfixed at the planter lights which were beautifully hanging from the ceiling.

It was such a judicious decision to save space as well as to transform the travel from the ground floor to the first floor a magical one. Globe lights which were hanging altogether changed the perception of the floor. Then, the interesting and captivating

Nothing can ever yield the blissful feeling you experience when you sit in an open terrace. This restaurant had an open terrace, we guessed, by looking at the painted door to our right. On a blue-colored door, a floral design was beautifully painted – I immediately took out my phone and took a snap of it, so that I can draw inspiration from it for the floral design in my home during the next Onam (I am from Kerala by the way and the floral designs mean a lot to us..)

As expected, the entire scenario was simply refreshing. There were around 60 dining covers and you could easily enjoy the HSR layout area away from its hustle, like the way it used to be.

Our sightseeing suddenly came to a halt when one of the waiters jostled and asked us, “Ma’am…there are plenty of seats down there. Would you like something to eat?” “Oh yes! Definitely…we will be there in a minute.” First things first…You have got to appreciate the whole design of the restaurant – I later found out that the plan was that the walls of the existing building were not pulverised and they were used skilfully in the construction of the restaurant. Secondly, with basal yet dreamy choice of interiors, the building has an appealing as well as an affordable space for the customers. The place on the whole is a visual treat for those who love designs and stuff. And it is a must-visit place for any of your loved one who is blue!
